Sunday, Belleville police received several reports of mailboxes that had been damaged sometime overnight on Harmony Road.
If anyone has information with regards to these incidents they are asked to contact Sgt. Charbonneau of Belleville Police.
City police were called to a group home in Belleville’s west end at 4 p.m. Sunday with regards to an alleged assault that had occurred against a staff member.
As a result of the investigation, police arrested a 17-year-old Belleville boy for assault. He was later released on a promise to appear with a court date of May 14,to answer to the charge.
His identity cannot be published under stipulations of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. There were no injuries as a result of the assault.
Break and enter
Saturday, Belleville police were called to a Bridge Street West residence in regards to a break and enter into a residence.
The incident happened sometime overnight between April 24 and April 25. An unknown suspect entered the residence and stole tools, a generator and copper wiring. There is no information in regards to a suspect description.
Motor vehicle collision
Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Millennium Parkway late Friday afternoon.
A vehicle westbound was struck by a vehicle pulling out of a driveway, Belleville police report. The driver of the vehicle pulling onto the highway was charged with failing to yield from a private driveway. He was issued a ticket for $110.
Theft from vehicle
At 5:25 p.m. Friday, officers were called to a Bell Boulevard business after an unknown suspect smashed a rear window in a vehicle and stole a duffle bag.
The duffle bag contained clothes with a value of approximately $50. Police are reviewing video in an attempt to identify a suspect.
Theft of parcel
Just after 6 p.m. Friday, officers attended an address on Pine Street. The owner reported a neighbor observed a male taking a Fed X package from his front porch.
The neighbour described the male as being 5’8 with long blonde hair, orange running shoes, beige track pants with a stripe, and wearing a black coat. The package contained approx. $60 in vacuum parts.
