London movie lovers can watch some of their favourite holiday-themed movies free and munch on discounted treats at Cineplex theatres to raise funds for Boys and Girls Clubs across the country.

London movie lovers can watch some of their favourite holiday-themed movies free and munch on discounted treats at Cineplex theatres to raise funds for Boys and Girls Clubs across the country.

Cineplex and Warner Bros. Pictures Canada are inviting the public to catch A Christmas Story, Elf, Gremlins, The Polar Express and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation at its theatres Dec. 7.

Concession items such as popcorn, soft drinks and select candy will be on sale for $2.50 each, with all proceeds from donations and concession sales supporting Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada.

“We have a long history at Cineplex of giving back to our local communities and have proudly contributed millions of dollars to non-profit organizations across the country,” Ellis Jacob, president and CEO of Cineplex, said in a statement.

Cineplex will open its doors at 9 a.m. Dec. 7 and tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The shows begin at 9:30 a.m. Click here for more information.

Cineplex theatres in London are Westmount and SilverCity, located in Masonville Place mall.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada is the country’s largest child- and youth-serving organization and provides vital programs and services to more than 200,000 young people in 700 communities. The Boys and Girls Club of London is located at 184 Horton St. E., just south of downtown.
