Dennis Nykoliation is back at it.
Nykoliation, who grew up in Fisher Branch, is returning home to Manitoba to host a CD release party at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 215 in East St. Paul on Sept. 16.
The talented musician has been playing the violin for dances and various events throughout the Interlake for 60 years.
He is joined by a number of local talents, which include Steve Kiz, Paul Pododworny, Bill Scherbatiuk, Rob Capriotti and Denis Hammerstedt.

In early 1967, Nykoliation became a co-founder of the Polka Drifters band and went on to be a part of three more albums with that group. That group also became one of the better known groups of that era and added classic country music to their repertoire of old time music.
By the mid 1960s, he joined The Interlake Polka Kings were played fiddle in the band’s first five albums.
He then left the Manitoba music scene in the early 1970’s to focus on, and to pursue, a very successful business career.
In the fall of 2008, Nykoliation formed his own Winnipeg based group known as The Dennis Nykoliation Band which features some of the most talented musicians in Manitoba. They play at a wide range of events including fall suppers, weddings, anniversaries, dances and casinos all over Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
